Three common gate types in the processing of automotive plastic products

The processing of automotive plastic products is a very strict process, which not only needs to control each injection link, but also needs to master the use of injection mold, which will involve the concept of gate.
Gate is one of the important components of injection mold. There are different types to meet the molding requirements of different injection parts. There are three common gate types in the processing of injection molded parts, namely direct gate, rectangular gate and fan gate. Among them, the direct gate is widely used, which can meet the situation of low melt pressure in the injection molding process, making the molding easy. And it is applicable to any commonly used plastic, mainly some large and deep injection molded parts.
The rectangular gate is usually located on the parting surface of the injection mold, so it is more used in the mold of small and medium-sized injection parts. Because its section shape is relatively simple, it is easy to process and correct in the later stage.
Fan gate is actually evolved from rectangular gate, so it has many similarities with rectangular gate, but it is suitable for injection molding large flat and thin-walled injection parts.
